Beauty Trends 2012 ~ Heavy Metal Shadow ~ Styleista.ca
Metallics on the eyes are huge this spring and I predict this trend will carry into the Fall/Winter as well. Think of your eye lid as a canvas and use your finger to smudge the shadow across it - exact symmetry is not encouraged. Using a base so your shadow doesn't crease is a must - all the time! (I love eye paints by MAC) Be sure to keep you complection matte - no shimmer.

Tangerine, the 2012 color of the year, is making it's way into beauty trends as well. Shades from blood orange, to coral, to peach were popping up all over the spring runways. Go for a matte color and keep your eye make up simple and blush in the same family (peachy). If your hesitant to go for a solid lip, start with a similar color in a gloss like the Nars "wonder" above or Joe Fresh "poppy".
