Continuing on the detox from Stampede - rest, relax and recharge in the fresh mountain air. There are so many great place to stay from Kananaskis Country to Banff National Park to BC's Yoho National Park. Some of my favorite camping spots are Mount Kid, Marble Canyon and Kicking Horse Campground.

If you are not a camper but still love the outdoors there are some great lodges as well. My top picks are Emerald Lake Lodge, and Cathedral Mountain Lodge where they have an incredible restaurant that serves everything from breakfast to a bagged hikers lunch, and fine dining dinner to s'mores - a five star experince in the beautiful Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Now that Stampede is over and done with for 2012, it's time to get back on track with our eating, sleeping and exercise! Kick start your detox and decompression with a trip to the mountains. Here in the Rockies we are blessed to be so close to some amazing hiking trials in Canmore (grassi lakes is one of my favorites) and Banff area. Here are the Top 20 Alberta hikes.

Stampede Style Round Up

Well folks the Calgary Stampede is finally over! I wanted to wrap it up by sharing some of my favorite looks from the past 10 days while I was out and about. From horse print dresses to leather fringe skirts, from embroided bustier tops to polka dot cowgirls, from vintage beaded leather fringe vests to gingham dresses and denim crops, and from eyelet sheaths and feather earrings to fur vests and Adidas cowboy boots. Until next year... YEE HAW!

Fringe ~ Stampede Concert Style

For the last day of Stampede I was pumped to attend the Snoop Dogg concert at Cowboys, although I have to say I was less than impressed with his 6 song set... When I saw him at Coachella in May I was blown away, and I know we are just some "hick town in Canada" but we love us some Snoop and seems everyone was left wanting more. Either way here is my take on "Stampede meets Snoop" concert attire.
