Do's and Do Not's for Stampede Style

Every year we see some tragic ensambles truckin' around the fairgrounds and tents. We are here to try and make that stop! Or at least tame it down a notch. Below are a two must have's for both women and men to use as a guideline and how to style them for an effortless chic look.

Womenswear:

Denim shirt

Do wear in a loose boyfriend fit

Do wear tucked into a cute skirt

Do wear tucked into your favourite pair of skinny jeans

Do roll up the sleeves twice

Do wear tied in knot at the front

Do accessorize with a statement necklace

Don't wear as an outerwear piece, invest in a denim jacket

Don't wear the exact same denim shade on the bottom

Don't wear a ridiculously tight one that the snaps or buttons are about to pop open

Don't wear it buttoned to the top button on the front and buttoned at the wrist (waaaay to serious for Stampede!)

Lace Dress

Do wear with a pair of cowboy boots

Do wear with a denim jacket over 

Do wear belted at the waist

Do have fun with colour

Do wear a cuter version for day and a sexier version for night

Do accessories with fun earrings or necklace

Don't buy it too short

Don't buy a baby doll style if you are over 30

Don't layer a shirt underneath

Don't wear it with tights

Menswear:

Plaid Shirts

Do wear colourful plaids

Do pair with your favourite and well fitting jeans 

Do wear sleeves rolled up twice

Do leave the top few buttons undone

Do leave untucked - unless you have a crazy cool belt to show off

Don't wear top to bottom plaid, YUCK

Don't tuck in so tight you can't lift your arms

Don't tie it in a knot at the front 

Don't get it so tight fitting you look like you are on Jersey Shore

Denim

Do get a great fitting pair - get help from a sales associate or stylist its worth it!

Do get a pair of good butt jeans 

Do wear with plaids

Do wear with cowboy boots

Do wear different colours of denim - black, grey, brown, light and classic blue

Do wear with denim as long as it's in a different shade - no Calgary Tuxedos please!

Do wear with a big buckle belt

Don't wear them tucked into your cowboy boots - EVER

Don't roll the bottoms

Don't get a skin tight pair so there is nothing left to the imagination - no skinny jeans

Don't wear True Religion - they are OUT
