Dress to Impress ~ University of Calgary Fashion Show

Join the Styleista Team and the U of C for a fun night of fashion, food and networking.

This event includes a fashion show featuring University of Calgary alumni and future alumni, show casing business fashions and styling tips from Styleista, presented by our newest stylist Phaedra Godchild.

Love Her ~ Calgary Gala

Love Her Calgary Gala at the Hotel Arts, hosted by philanthropist W. Brett Wilson and Canadian comedian Jessica Holmes was an evening of fashion, comedy, cocktails, music and fundraising in support of Ovarian Cancer Canada and it was a can't miss affair.

The evening started off with a cocktail and hors d'oreuvres and a silent auction which was promptly followed by the introduction of Holmes to get the evenings entertainment underway. Guests were delighted to be greeted with a hilarious two song set by Holmes doing her comedic representation of Celine Dion's singing style and perfect French accent. The guests were crying they were laughing so far. It was a total icebreaker and a fresh way to start the night!

Following Holmes introduction, the fashion show sponsored by Judith and Charles began. Three model groupings came down the runway featuring business wear, business casual and weekend wear. Main style points included; bright pops of reds and purples, thick bold black and white stripes and form fitting tailoring. It was right on trend and seasonality.

Post show, Wilson took the stage to host a live auction that was both fund-raising and funny!

The night proceeded to include a speech by Dr. Prafull Ghatage, a musical performance by violinist Sophie Serafina and a VIP reception at the Raw Bar.

Overall the night was a success with a sparkling mix of who's who in Calgary, fine foods, fabulous comedy and a crucial cause. Well done Love Her!

We are excited to announce a new, talented addition to the Styliesta team!

Phaedra Godchild

Phaedra is a fashion stylist, personal shopper and wardrobe consultant living and working in the Calgary area. She teaches the Fashion Styling Diploma at a local academy. Her love of all things beautiful led her into fashion, earning a Degree in Fashion Design and Technology with a minor in Marketing from Kwantlen University in BC and many years in retail management. What makes her excited is anything related to fashion whether it be styling a fashion show, pulling for a photo shoot or dressing a personal client in fabulous new clothing that they may never have considered and having them go home happy, inspired and ultimately feeling amazing!

Classic patterns, modern suits ~ Men

Fall brought an enormous explosion of pattern on suits and sport coats for fall, a resurrection of very traditional menswear fabric like windowpane and plaid.  The cuts are slimmed down and more modern than these classic prints have been in the past.  Making them very wearable to the younger generation, merging the old and new and making it fresh.
