Phaedra's Napa Vacation

So, I confess...I love wine! To my friends that is not a surprise lol. With that proclaimed it is a bit of a give-in that I have always wanted to go to Napa Valley. 

I didn't realize how immensely beautiful it is there. The hills and valleys, the eucalyptus in the air and the lush foliage. The vineyards that we visited were stunning and unique in their own way and the hosts spanned from a little dull to cool/casual to playing the banjo and enticing us to karaoke to 'Love is a Battle Field' (Erin Baker wink wink) 

I had the pleasure of experiencing the trip with three of my best friends. From landing in San Francisco to driving into the wine country there was never a dull moment!

Below is a snap of us 4 ladies and then just one of the outfits I wore while wine tasting.

Get the Look: Cara Delevingne

Cara is the It Girl right now. 

She is everywhere; Instagram, a million ad campaigns, cover of  Vogue, in movies and of course on the party circuit. 

I think she has the most stunning beauty of any model right now and her signature style is pretty laid back (think toques and t-shirts) but I love when she gets glam.

What to Pack: Napa Valley

My girlfriends and I are going on a Napa trip to enjoy fabulous wine, spa + health and adventure! Since there will be many different types of activities here are my suggestions on items to pack: Dresses for dinners and wine tours, denim + jersey for causal days by the pool and at the spa and work out gear for bike rides and strolls.

Diner En Blanc Calgary 2014

Diner En Blanc 2014 was another huge success bringing together 2600 of Calgary's finest. 

Dressed head to toe in white for a mass 'chic picnic' held annually at a secret location in the city.

Holt Renfrew shot the fall 2014 issue of HOLTS magazine in inspiring landscapes across Alberta and Ontario.

Models Jessica Stam, Liisa Winkler and David Guillo were shot by award-winning photographer Chris Nicholls at various locations across Alberta including the incredible hoodoos of Drumheller, the mountains of Banff and Bow Lake and a private ranch outside the beautiful city of Calgary.

Fall 2014 Shoe Trends

Shoes. I adore shoes. Often I plan my entire outfit around my shoes, boots, booties or sandals. I am not partial to flats, unless completely necessary due to sore feet. 

The runways were packed with many trends for footwear but 4 particular ones caught my eye. 

#1 Navy Suede

Navy is such a great alternative to black and is still a perfect neutral to pair with almost any colour. And please know that NAVY & BLACK CAN BE WORN TOGETHER!!!!

We all try to wear more pattern and colour but often we stick with solids and neutrals so what better way to add fashion to your look then a printed pump!?

#3 Woven

Woven lends a bit of tribal or ethnic influence to an ensemble not to mention they are actually very comfortable because they stretch to the shape of your foot.
