Palm Springs Overview: Eat. Shop. Lounge.

Phaedra and I spent last week in Palm Springs - we worked and played, often one in the same.

zara shoes, vero moda leather skirt, american apparel clutch,  h&m shirt
j crew + michael kors arm party, hermes leather bracelet
asos skirt + christina louboutin shoes, zara shoes + top shop skirt

There are two main areas; Palm Springs proper and then Palm Desert, both of which are very laid back relaxed and an older demographic, although seems to be the new hot spot for all of my 30 something friends to vacay. Palm Springs it self has a younger demographic, more boutique hotels and shops. We took in Villagefest a wonderful street festival that is held every Thursday evening on Palm Canyon Drive with street vendors featuring arts, crafts, food and entertainment. All of the shops and restaurants stay open and the street was full of life, it was a great vibe!

Palm Desert is the geographic centre of the Coachella Valley which is of course home to Coachella Music Festival, my personal favorite! El Paseo is the Rodeo Drive of the desert, the street is lined with designer stores and boutiques as well as restarants and art galleries. There is an Art Walk the first Friday of every month that is a fun thing to do.

Then of course there is the ultimate shopping destination at the Premium Outlets in Cabazon just northwest of the city, on the way to LA. Great stores such as YSL, Prada, Tory Burch, Tumi, All Saints + Cartiers, full store listings here and they are adding 50 new stores expected to open April 2014!!!

We had a blast! Enjoy Palm!
