Fall 2012 Trends

Though we don't want to believe it, Fall is just around the corner. You don't have to ditch those summer dresses just yet, but you will want to get your hands on some of the hottest trends for Fall that are in stores already. Here is my guide to Fall Fashion.

Color - The runways were covered in gold, winter white, and ox blood red. Pantone's fall color guide is below and of course their 2012 color of the year Tangerine Tango is still big for the Autumn and Winter months. Wear it as well as your other Spring/Summer brights through the colder months by pairing them with black.

Texture - Think your Grandmothers closet when going for texture - Lace, fur, and other luxe fabrics like velvet, leather tweed and even tapestry were all over the runways. Plus lots of over-embellishments with beading, jewels and stones.

Patterns - Argyle and leopard print are often big for Fall/Winter as are the Aztec tribal patterns and florals from Spring/Summer. Polka dots, plaid, and black + white contrasts are print trends we will see a lot of also.

Silhouettes - peplum is carrying over from Spring to Fall also doesn't have to be just dresses though try a peplum waisted shirt with pants or a pencil skirt. Over sized jackets and coats we're huge on the runways, I'm not sure I love this trend but it will work for some of you.

Styles - everything from military to Asian inspiration, and bohemian to granny chic were seen on the Fall runways. Something for everyone. Choose a style that best suits you, your personality, lifestyle and body type and have fun with the Fall trends!

Happy shopping for Fall!
