Style Studs Stampede Must Haves

Now that we have a few nights under our belt (pun intended), let's talk about a few Stampede Must Haves for the guys as well.

1. The Boots - again guys, as log as your sporting a boot that narrows slightly at the toe you're good -whether it's a traditional cowboy boot, a bad ass biker boot, or a more tailored slip on style. My personal favorites are the biker styles and the more beat up the better!

Frye

Cole Haan @ Holt Renfrew

2. The Jeans - during Stampede denim in many colors and many washes goes! For guys I like the dark washes in blue and black and even the coated the ones. Something with a brown stitch is cool even white denim, like one of my models for BT was wearing last week.

Nudie
Rag and Bone

3. Traditional Print Shirt - getting a casual shirt that's either plaid, gingham, or paisley is a must for stomping around at the Stampede grounds during the day or sucking back beers at the bar or tent. It's the cool cowboy look.

Abercrombie & Fitch
Topman

4. The Western Inspired Dress Shirt - This is the perfect piece to wear to work and still be taken seriously then roll up the sleeves and hit a Stampede party afterwards and not get mocked by all your buddies (who probably don't make as much money as you do). Business during the day / party at night... sounds like the "mullets" version of a shirt for guys...

Etro

Paul Smith

5. Classic Cowboy Shirt - Ever appropriate this year, since it's the 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede. One of my favorite looks - The throwback vintage classic shirts with the embroidery on the shoulders. These pieces are best when actually handed down from your Grandpa - if you can't make that happen then you can still find them out there.

Urban Outfitters
Riley and McCormick

6. The Bandana - No real cowboy is complete with out something to wipe the sweat of his brow after riding a bull for 8 seconds  ...or wiping the beer/mustard of your shirt because you've been drinking in a parking lot with a tent over it for 8 hours. Either way you should invest in a bandana. Can also double as a pocket square for the office, a wrist wrap for the midway or a face mask for the chuck wagons - bet it will be the best $2 you've spend in a long time ;)

Don't forget to watch me on Global TV today at 8 am ish! - xoB
